Chasing Dreams: My Journey to Launching a Mobile Bar Business

As long as I can remember, I’ve been an entrepreneur at heart, navigating adulthood with a camera in one hand and dreams in the other. I picked up my first camera at 14, launched my first business at 24, and now at 38, I’m diving headfirst into a brand new adventure that I can’t wait to share with you!

For the last three years, I’ve been meticulously crafting my vision of a mobile bar business. It’s a dream I’ve held for eight years, and I’ve poured my heart and soul into perfecting every detail. After years of working in the wedding industry— from flower shops to bakeries, event planning, and over 20 years of photographing couples on their big day—I've witnessed firsthand the joy of celebration. Now, I’m ready to bring that joy to life with my own business!

The journey really kicked off when I made the trip to St. Louis to pick up my horse trailer. Excitement was in the air, and I couldn’t wait to start this new chapter. However, as with any great adventure, the road was bumpy—literally! I got my first-ever speeding ticket on the way there. Who knew that a mobile bar business could come with such a fast-paced introduction?

But the real test came on the way home. What should have been a 1.5-hour drive turned into a six-hour ordeal. My 4 cylinder truck decided it had other plans and broke down, leaving me stranded and wondering if I would ever make it back! (don’t worry I have pulling power now) With a little patience and a lot of determination, I managed to get everything sorted out, but let me tell you, it was a wild ride!

Now, as I stand on the brink of launching my mobile bar, affectionately named "The Tipsy Steed," I am filled with excitement and hope. Over the coming months, you’ll see plenty of posts showcasing this charming addition to my business and the sweet little keg bike, "The Bar-ista”
